Antique 7/8" high x 11/16" wide Simons Bros Sterling Thimble Size 10 with Smooth Band, Convex Dimple Top and Ovals and Arrows in Relief in the Bottom Band.
Stamped on the front of the smooth band is the following: Sterling 11 - Pat May 31, (18)98.
There is light wear, normal for a sterling thimble of its age and purpose, and the overall condition is very good to outstanding. Stamped on the interior top of this fine sewing collectible is the well known 'Simons Bros Shield with S' Logo. This late 19th century Simons Bros sewing collectible came from a private thimble collection in Moore County, NC. This is just one collectible thimble from a private collection of approximately 20 that we will be listing for the next 5 to 7 days.
